Fiscal sponsorship is a crucial tool for nascent nonprofit organizations, allowing them to bypass some of the cumbersome initial steps of starting a nonprofit. Our platform enables students to focus on running their organization, not filling out paperwork. Here's what it entails:

  • Model A Fiscal Sponsorship: Hack+ operates as a model A fiscal sponsor, meaning we exclusively partner with unincorporated organizations.
  • Legal Infrastructure: With Hack+, students gain the vital legal backbone they need to operate with confidence.
  • 501c3 Nonprofit Status: This status is the gold standard for fundraising. By aligning with us, your initiative instantly achieves 501c3 classification.
  • Essential Resources: Our support goes beyond just legalities. We equip our sponsored projects with:
    • A comprehensive fundraising platform.
    • Credit cards to spend your raised funds.
    • A streamlined reimbursement platform.
    • Personalized donation pages.

Application Instructions

Please complete all fields detailing your initiative. A crucial component of your application is the video pitch. Follow the guidelines below to ensure you address all essential details.

Video Pitch Guidelines

  • Project Name: Start by introducing the name of your project.
  • Purpose: Dive deep into why this initiative matters to you and its significance.
  • Team Overview: Describe your team's composition. Introduce key members and their roles. Remember, we're looking for teams with a minimum of 2-4 members.
  • Actions & Plans: Describe the steps you've taken for your initiative so far, and outline your roadmap for the future.
  • Why Hack+: Elaborate on the unique advantages Hack+ can offer you, especially highlighting the benefits of our monetary platform for fundraising.

Your video can include slides, direct talks, animations, or any other format you're comfortable with. What matters most is how effectively and engagingly you present the information.Video pitches must be less than 5 minutes. Any pitches longer than 5 minutes will be disregarded.

What We're Looking For

  • A dynamic team comprising 2-4 members or more.
  • A concise and compelling goal or mission.
  • Concrete reasons justifying a need for fiscal sponsorship from Hack+.
  • Passionate individuals with a clear vision and commitment.

Uploading to YouTube

  1. Sign in to your YouTube account.
  2. Click the camera icon at the top right, then choose 'Upload Video'.
  3. Drag and drop your video or select it from your device.
  4. Once the upload is complete, ensure your video visibility is set to 'Public' or 'Unlisted'.
  5. Copy the link and insert it into the field provided on our application page.
